Annual Motor Jamboree rolls into town

Classic and custom cars, motorcycles, daredevil cyclists, music, vendors and even the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile….they’re all coming out for a good cause when the seventh Annual Motor Jamboree is held at the State Fairgrounds just off Route 15 North in Augusta on June 29 from noon to 8pm and June 30 10am to 6pm. The event,. benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, the .S.P.C.A. (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) of New Jersey, and the Dan Snellen Fund, is sponsored by the Netcong’s Freewheelers Car Club #1 , Inc. in association with Blue Knights IX and the Colonial Antique Motorcycle Club. Admission cost for spectators: $10.00, Seniors over 62 - $ 8.00 and Children under 12 are free.
Cost for participants registering the day of the show are: day of show care/truck: $20,
Day of show motorcycle: $15 ( admission includes cost of driver and one passenger).

The Motor Jamboree is our annual major fundraising event. This show brings out the very best of classic and customized cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Over the years, hundreds of trophies have been awarded to the top participants.”
This year’s Jamboree is no exception as far as the fun planned and the classic and custom vehicles expected. In addition to the cars and motorcycles on display, there will be live music and entertainment each day. The first day’s includes: Wolfman Jerry, The Razorbacks, Blue Suede Bombers, Rockets Red Glare, and a Best Tattoo contest . On the second day will be Wolfman Jerry, Little Isadore and the Inquisitors. Also, there will be a Popular Mechanics display.
Some of the fun and action that takes place on both days includes: vendors (lots of them), daily 50/50, kid’s face painting, Mo-torcycle Trick Show, Monster Truck Rides,
Pinstriping by the One Armed Bandit and Jeremiah Burst, and trophies awarded.
So come out for the fun….and help some good causes at the same time. You might even catch a glimpse of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.
