SEVENTH GRADERS LEARN HOW USEFUL MATH CAN BE

The seventh grade math classes at Allamuchy Township School were paid a visit by Suburban Consulting Engineers of Mount Arlington to see how the math they are learning today can be useful in a future career.   Mr. Frank Bednarek, PLS, and Ms. Reyna Crane talked about and demonstrated survey equipment that included robotic and global positioning system components. Students studied scale maps using scale rulers provided by the company. This valuable lesson connecting classroom lessons with real world experience provided Allamuchy students a birds’ eye view of their future career possibilities and the importance of the math they are studying in school.
