“Kids Kabaret” is “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”!

“Kids Kabaret” is a musical review of more than 30 beloved Broadway songs. In the above photo, the cast dances to “One” from “A Chorus Line”.

If you have no plans for Friday or Saturday night, then run - don’t walk to Lake Mohawk to see the closing performances of “Kids Kabaret”. “Kids Kabaret” entertains both the young and young at heart and it’s a guarantee that the you will come out smiling!
“Kids Kabaret” is a magical tour of some of Broadway’s best family musicals. From the moment the lights go on with the high energy “Kids” from “Bye Bye Birdie” with Michael Gillespie and Janine Byrnes to the finale of the entire ensemble singing “Climb Every Mountain” from “The Sound of Music” led by Christine Mase, you are in for an evening of fantastic entertainment.
The cast is comprised of 42 members from the ages of 4 ½ to 65 plus! Although the cast is made up of amateurs, there are many star quality performances by both young and old. There are brilliant solos, duets and trios in addition to full cast production numbers.
Some of the evenings highlights include production numbers featuring just the kids, “Hard Knock Life” from “Annie”, ”Tender Shepherd” from “Peter Pan” and “Food Glorious Food” from “Oliver”, but one of the most touching moments are the KIDS singing and signing “Happiness” from “You're a Good Man Charlie Brown”.  Full cast production numbers include a foot stomping tap routine to that all time “Mary Poppins” favorite “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and “One” from “A Chorus Line” complete with gold top hats!
Between the full cast production numbers you will find incredible voices doing all your Broadway favorites. Stars are born in the young performers singing such notable hits as “You’re Gonna Hear From Me” from “Inside Daisy Clover” with Jana Byrnes of Mount Olive and “Where is Love” from “Oliver” performed by Kyle Penny of Newton.  Alexandra Pierson of Hampton performs “Maybe” from “Annie” and  her sister Carly performs “In My Own Little Corner” from “Cinderella”. “The Girl I Mean To Be” from “The Secret Garden” is performed by Rachel Stote of Sparta. There are also duets with siblings Jana and Kara Byrnes singing and dancing to “If Mama Was Married” from “Gypsy” and Anna and Alex Gelpke of Randolph performing “The Perfect Nanny” from “Mary Poppins”.
“Kids Kabaret” is directed by Scott Mason, musical direction by Michael Yannuzzi and choreography by Michael Gillespie and Janine Byrnes.
