New Jersey After 3 and Mt. Olive Child Care & Learning Center - have partnered for the past 4 1/2 years to increase services and programming in the Mt. Olive Elementary School After School Programs. Working hand-in-hand with services available through "Family Friendly" educational and recreational clubs in Literacy, Math/Business, Visual and Performing Arts, Technology, Science, Health/Sports, Community Service/Character Education, Culture, Study Skills, and New Jersey are available throughout the year.
Mt. Olive Child Care & Learning Center offers the only N.J. Department of Human Services funded "Family Friendly Center" in Morris County. Through this funding, we are able to provide a wide variety of program enhancements on a year-round basis for school age children and youth.
Education - tutoring, homework assistance or literacy activities for students and/or families that are linked to the school day and increase knowledge and/or learning proficiency.
Social Services - consultations, referrals, workshops and distribution of information related to issues such as health and safety, relationships, problem solving and life skills.
Enrichment - activities that enhance academic knowledge, social and emotional development, cultural awareness and/or leadership development through field trips or programs in areas such as drama, music, and technology.
Recreation - Games, sports, crafts and other activities to promote physical fitness, relaxation, literacy, socialization, artistic skills, and development of meaningful hobbies.
